You can’t give consent unless you’ve been asked for consent. However, once you have been explicitly asked, it is your responsibility to explicitly say no to stop the other person. Unless you explicitly say no, you are giving consent.

The moderators of this page feel it necessary to add that consent is best embodied by saying “yes” explicitly, and not by “not saying no”.
